This is where you manage your colors, fonts, layout, footer content, sidebar and widgets.<\/p>\n<h3>Concepts to understand:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Customizer<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0all settings can be accessed from the WP dashboard through <strong>Appearance &gt; Customize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Custom CSS<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0write your own custom CSS declarations. The custom CSS file is loaded last, so you can not only create new styles but over-ride existing styles in your theme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Media Library<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211;\u00a0images uploaded to your site are stored in your media library. You can resize, edit, and crop your images for use anywhere within your site.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>NOTE: Custom CSS is a powerful tool and is intended for\u00a0individuals trained in CSS. IS&amp;T does not offer CSS training and cannot support custom CSS styles on individual websites.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<h3>How to use:<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Customizer<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the WP dashboard go to <strong>Appearance &gt; Customize.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Toggle items in the sidebar to edit various properties (layout options, footer, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Some items (like widgets) open a secondary sidebar (see indicator arrow <strong>&gt;<\/strong>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Custom CSS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>From the WP dashboard go to <strong>Appearance &gt; Custom CSS.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Edit CSS directly in the editor, which features CSS syntax coloring and line numbers<\/li>\n<li>The editor tracks revision history and supports rollbacks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Image Editing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All editing functions found in\u00a0<strong>Media &gt; Library &gt; click image thumbnail &gt; Edit Image<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Rotate &#8211; edit the orientation of an image<\/li>\n<li>Flip &#8211; flip the image horizontally or vertically<\/li>\n<li>Crop &#8211; edit out unwanted areas of the image<\/li>\n<li>Scale Image &#8211; resize image by specific pixels<\/li>\n<li>Image Crop &#8211; crop image by specific pixels and aspect ration<\/li>\n<li>Settings &#8211; apply changes to all image sizes, just thumbnail, or all sizes except thumbnail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Review:<\/h3>\n<p>Walk through the Customizer functions.
